Operations / Software Comments - 09/02/04 TIDE Telecon Operations: ---------- The 2004 Fall Eclipse Season runs from August 26th to September 14th. TIDE's high voltage was turned off at 21:25 UT August 27th (doy 240). TIDE's high voltage ramp is currently scheduled for 20:10 UT, Sept. 9 (doy 253). TIDE/PSI temperature plots for the eclipse season are available at http://satyr.msfc.nasa.gov/tideteam/fall_eclipse/2004/. There was a telemetry problem on Polar on August 27. TIDE received bad telemetry between 14:04 and 18:18 UT. Three new links have been added to the 'Related Sites' link off the TIDE home pages. They are a link to the Polar/Wind/Geotail data server, a link to the current DSN schedules (current week plus next two weeks), and a link to the schedule for switching between science mode 1 and 2 telemetry data. Software: --------- Due to a lack of disk space on the TIDE data archive at GSFC (goewin), all level-zero, orbit, and attitude files for February, March, August, September, October, November, and December 1996 have been temporarily removed. They were deleted on August 18th. The files will be restored as soon as disk space is available. Data Download and Custom Plots will not work for those months on the GSFC web site. All data and web functionality will be available at the NSSTC (MSFC) site. This quick fix plus access to some LENA disk space will be enough space for data through the end of 2004. Note: The above message and any other news items now appear on the new TIDE Home Pages.
