Operations / Software Comments - 05/31/05 TIDE Telecon Operations: ---------- There was a Polar GTM upset on 05/21/05 at ~09:00. TIDE had to be reset at 17:23. Software patches were loaded on 05/23/05 and the high voltage ramped on 05/24/05. It was completed at 17:48. For some reason, at 13:06 on 05/27/05, TIDE entered default auto-sensitivity. At the same time, Rice compression was disable. TIDE remained in default auto-sensitivity until the next radiation belt pass when optional auto- sensitivity was commanded at 01:29 on 05/28/05. Rice compression remains disabled. Software: --------- Dick West and Mike Chandler have corrected most of the problems with the velocity distribution contours and use of GSE and GSM coordinates. There is a test website for these options on the MSFC site only. Go to the velocity distribution custom plot page and change the URL perl script to lz_vdp_first_cntr.pl. On page three, the new display options are the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th boxes.
