The format for the filename is usually either tyymmddh1m1_h2m2.ext or tyymmddh1m1_h2m2_mm.ext where 't' is short for TIDE, yymmdd is the start date, h1m1 is the start time, and h2m2 is the stop time. If the file contains data for a single mass, mm is the mass to charge ratio of the ion or it is 00 for Singles or sp for Stops. The extention (ext) is a brief indication of the content of the file. If the file contains summed or averaged counts, the mass is indicated by the mass number in the (mass,polar,spin,energy) array - _m0 (H+), _m1 (m/q=2), _m2 (He+), _m3 (O+), _m4 (NO+ or Stops) and _m5 (Singles). Some files can contain data for very short time periods (velocity distributions, scrolling spreadsheets, and stripcharts). The stripchart and housekeeping scrolling spreadsheet filenames include just the stop date/time including seconds (tyymnddhhmmss.sp_cnt and tyymnddhhmmss.hk). The velocity distribution bitmap and text files use the standard filename, the plot filenames include the start time in seconds and the number of spins in each time average, stop time is not included because the filename is too long for Macs. The plot output filename looks like tyymmddhhmmss_nns_mm.ext with a .ps or .gif extension. The housekeeping daily plots start with 'tid' or 'psi' rather than 't' and they have no file extensions. The housekeeping monthly trends plot filenames are tyymm_trend.psi or tyyymm_trend.tide. Direct-event monthly trend plots are tyymm_trend.de_sum. Plot files end with an additional .ps or .gif extension.
